• Dates:  May – September

• Each river boat carries a maximum of 4 fishermen/fisherwomen
• Must obtain a King Salmon stamp on your Alaska fishing license, if fishing for King Salmon

$300 per person for 8-hour trip; $265 for a 6-hour trip; or $220 for a 4-hour trip

Fishing gear is provided.  You will need to have transportation to get to the river and pay for parking fees.

After your trip, the captain will fillet your fish for you. Commercial vacuum sealing and freezing are available back at our campground for $1 per bag, as well as ice for $3 per bag.  And there are businesses in Ninilchik which offer UPS and FEDEX shipping for your fish. • These boat trips will occur during clamming tides, weather dependent.
• Dig for large Razor Clams across the Inlet from Ninilchik/Deep Creek.
• Buckets and shovels may be provided with advanced notice.
• Must have current Alaska fishing license (or a harvest card for clammers under 16).
• Trip departs early in the morning and comes back later in the day, so be prepared.
  • Bring warm clothing (be prepared to get dirty during digging).
  • Wear mud boots or waders.

The Coast Guard licensed Charter Captain will meet you and your fishing party at Deep Creek View Campground at the time determined when you book your charter.

You will troll for King Salmon either before or after your halibut trip, depending on the tide that day.

We provide the fishing gear, bait, and transportation from the campground to the beach of Deep Creek where the boats are launched (a unique experience in itself!). The captain gives a safety briefing once everyone is in the boat and seated.

After your trip, we bring you back to the campground to hang your catch for those memorable Alaskan photos. View photos from our previous trips in our photo blog. Then the captain and deckhand fillet your fish. Commercial vacuum sealing and freezing are available at the campground, as well as ice. Once the boat is stopped and the anchor is set, the charter captain and deckhand will assist each person with the fishing pole by baiting each hook and placing an appropriate size weight on the line (all dependent upon the tide that day). The charter captain and deckhand will let you know what it should feel like when you have a fish on your line, and what to do before and after catching a fish.
